“THE WHOLE PIE” – A Community Memory Project 2026

In 2013, the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC) and the Luggage Store Gallery presented “Flo Oy Wong: The Whole Pie” in celebration of Flo’s 75th birthday, with contributions from 75 national, local, and community artists invited by Flo Oy Wong, Pamela Wu Kochiyama, and Darryl Smith. The exhibition also included Wong’s The Baby Jack Rice Story, a new mixed media sculpture Departures, premiere of early self-portraits, and the 527: Moussa/Odette Pie, comprised of 527 individual ingredients created by contributing artists.

We would like to ask Flo’s artistic community for help to create an online record of the many contributors to Flo’s 75th birthday exhibition. Do you have information that will help us to match the artists with their art pies?

Artist Lenore Chinn kindly contributed these photos of the 75 art pies from the exhibition.
However, we have not yet found the corresponding documentation to match the artists to their pies.
